Who We Are...

The Earth Restoration Corps, incorporated as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation in 2000, is governed by a Board of Directors and supported by an International Advisory Board. The organization’s Officers and Staff working from ERC’s headquarters in Crestone, Colorado, are:

Hanne M. Strong, President.
The Earth Restoration Corp’s visionary founder, Hanne Strong also serves as President of the Manitou Foundation, which has made land grants in Crestone, Colorado, for spiritual retreat centers to all major world faiths.


Peter Gyallay-Pap, Vice President
After working for NGOs (including ERC), UNDP, and governmental institutions as an education & research consultant for 16 years, Peter Gyallay-Pap assumed duties as Vice President of the Earth Restoration Corps in January 2004.


Vance Hartke, Executive Director
A program officer with Counterpart International in Washington, DC, Vance Hartke has served as ERC’s Executive Director since 2000.


Suzanne Foote, Administrative Officer and Program Coordinator.
A natural seed specialist, Suzanne Foote has served as ERC’s Administrative Officer and Program Coordinator of ERC’s Brazil program since 2002.


Barbara de Camp, Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant
Barbara has served as ERC’s Bookkkeeper and Administrative Assistant since 2002.


Kailash, Financial Officer & Webmaster
Co-leader of the EarthArt Eco-Village in nearby Moffat, Colorado, Kailash has been serving ERC on a contracting basis since ERC’s formal founding in 1999.
